FreshByte Item Description Update

FreshByte has the option to update an Item Description for an Inventory Item. Item descriptions may need to be updated due to legal requirements, or vendor packaging changes.

 

File -> Code Maintenance -> Inventory Items

Select the Inventory Item to edit from the drop-down list.

Select Edit

Item Descrip Update 1

Update the description of the Inventory Item and select ‘Save’.

Item Descrip Update 2

A screen will display asking if the user would like to update ‘Customer Specs’ and/or ‘Vendor Specs’.

The user has the option to update the ‘Customer Specs’ and/or ‘Vendor Specs’. The system will update the Inventory Item description that displays on the orders for both specifications.

*NOTE: The ‘Item Description’ information displayed on each specification screen for Sales and Purchasing is populated from the Item Master and will always display the same description listed in Code Maintenance.

If the user selects ‘Cancel’, the system will only update the description in the Item Master. The Customer and Vendor Specs ‘Order Descriptions’ will not be updated.

Once the system is updated, a message will display 'Updated successfully'.  The user selects close then selects ‘Save’.  The Item description in Code maintenance is updated, the Item Master description is updated, and the Vendor and Customer Specs are updated based on the parameters selected by the User.
