FreshByte Lot Number Prefix Definitions

FreshByte System populates different prefixes for inventory lots based on the way that the inventory is entered into the system. The prefix definitions are outlined below.

FreshByte Inventory Prefix Lots:
T – Take-on Inventory lots:  Take on inventory lots are opening physical inventory that is entered when the company begins with FreshByte. 
P – Packout (repack) lot numbers:   Packout lot numbers are for inventory items that have been repacked using the packout module within FreshByte.   
PT – Pack & Transfer:   A pack and transfer lot is form of transfer that allows the user to break a lot so that costs can be applied to a portion of the lot.
B – Bulk Packouts: Bulk packout (repack) lot numbers are repacks generated via the bulk packout screen.   
S – Manual adjustment lot: S-lots are manual lots that are created within the system and are not related to a PO.  
Z – System place holder lot.   Z-lots are a place holder for inventory that has not been created in the system.  Z-lots are used for unallocated quantities in the system. 
 
PM – Repack Lots and Apply Storage Fees:  Repack Lots and apply storage fees are for customers that utilize outside cold storage facilities (3PLS)  and need to apply the storage fees to the cost of the inventory item. 
PW – Packout Reservation Pool:   Packout reservation pool lots are for customers that need to generate packout numbers in advance – before adding items to packouts.  This could be for production planning purposes.  
PY – Catch Weight Rollups:  Catch weight rollups are used to combine lots when there are multiple small weights in each lot.
PQ – Item Cost Averaging:   Item cost averaging prefix is displayed when there is an average of the cost of all inventory in stock.
PG – Inventory Grading:   Inventory grading lots are displayed when customers  grade product quality within a lot.
