FreshByte includes a ‘Push Items List’ feature that provides companies the option to add a list of items that display at the time of saving the Sales Order. This tool provides a great resource to offer overstock or short dated items.
Push Items Customer Setup
First, the user must enable settings at the customer level for push items as some customers may not allow additional items to be purchased.
Customers -> Customers (1) tab -> Select ‘offer push items’ on the bottom left of the screen
Push Items List Set Up
To create or modify a Push Item List, the user should follow the following steps:
- Menu path Pricing/Taxing -> Push Items List
- Select ‘New’ to create a new Push Items List or select the drop-down arrow to display a list of expired push lists.
- For a new list, enter the ‘Push Items list’ name, the description of the list, select effective date range, and any optional notes that will display with the list.
- Next, Right-click in the Item field to enter the item or right-click in the description field to populate the items look-up. The user has the option to add a blank line, add a specific item or delete an item.
- Input the Minimum quantity and price.
- The user has the option to enter the UPC and enter an additional freight cost at the line level.
- Once all information is entered and verified for accuracy, select ‘Save.'
The user has the option to select ‘Standard Terms’ to add a note to display on the Sales Order Confirmations and Invoice.
Push List on Sales Order
When a user creates a new Sales Order, the push items list becomes active. The user adds items to the order and clicks 'Save,' the push price list appears, showing all available items for offering.
The push list indicates the quantity available and highlights items already ordered at the customer's regular price, preventing special pricing for regular items.
Users can easily select items from the list to add to the order by clicking the 'select box.'
After completing the order, remember to click 'Save.'
*Note: Ensure that the Sales Order is within the specified date range of the push items list for it to be visible during the ordering process.
The Push Items list feature offers a valuable tool for efficiently managing inventory items and boosting sales for the company. Additionally, the color coding on the Sales Order provides a clear indication of whether an item was ordered by the customer or if a push item was offered and added.
