Inventory Reorder List Report

The Inventory Reorder list within FreshByte is a feature that enables the user to quickly determine items and quantities that need to be reordered.

Overview

The Inventory Reorder list Report provides users a tool to quickly determine Inventory or supply items need to be reordered/purchased.  The report has extensive filtering options to provide each user the ability to customize the report criteria to easily identify user specific needs.
The Quantity to order is calculated based on the criteria set by the user. The report can include Open POs, Packouts, and Sales Orders to allow the user to determine reordering needs.
If the user selects Open Orders, the Quantity to Order is calculated as follows:
Quantity on Hand – Open Sales Orders + Quantity on Purchase Orders = Total Available
If the Total Available is below the Minimum Quantity set within Item Master, the Order Quantity will calculate based on the quantity needed to bring the Total Available Quantity up to the Required Quantity set in the Item Master.

Required Set Up in Item Master

The user must enter the minimum and maximum quantities in the Item Master for the Order Quantity to calculate properly.

Before calculating the report, the user may also select how the Average Inventory Movement will be displayed by filtering the following:

  • Do not Calculate Average Inventory Movement
  • Calculate Average Weekly Inventory Movement
    • Enter the From and To dates for the time period to be calculated
  • Calculate Average Daily Inventory Movement
    • Select the time-period to be calculated
  • Average calculations have two options:
    • Mathematical Average Calculation: This option uses the number of weeks or days in the selected time period and divides the total movement quantity to calculate the Weekly (or Daily) average.
    • Statistical Average Calculation – determines the number of weeks or days that the item was sold during the selected time period and then divides the total quantities by that calculation to get the Weekly (or Daily) average.

    Example:

There are 26 weeks in the selected time-period, and the total movement quantity of the item, during that time-period, is 100. However, there were only 2 weeks during the 26 weeks that the item had any movement.

     The Mathematical Average Calculation -   100 / 26 = 3.85
